TimeControl 6 Browsers
TimeControl 6 includes the capability to enter your timesheet from multiple web browsers. This opens access to TimeControl to users who may not have experienced it before.
On version 6.0, the functions that are used by 95% of users are designed as multi-browser compliant. This means that 95% of users will not need to download or install any Add-On / ActiveX controls as we needed to in older versions. Now only Administrators or those managing links to external systems will be restricted to Internet Explorer as their browser and will require any Add-Ons.
The .Net functionality covers the following functions:
The Timesheet
This allows timesheet entry as well as viewing timesheets for which you have view privileges
The Timesheet List
This now allows existing timesheets, posted timesheets, missing timesheets and Debit/Credit adjustments to be viewed as well as printed for any of these timesheets to which you have access
Approvals
Supervisors and Administrators who need to approve timesheets can do so through the Timesheet and the Timesheet List.
Debit/Credit Adjustments
When posted timesheets must be adjusted, a Debit/Credit entry is created. This functionality is typically made available to project managers, supervisors and administrators
TimeRequests
The new TimeRequest module allows future time off requests such as vacation, personal time, extended leave such as jury duty or maternity leave and other types of time to be requested and then approved. Approved TimeRequests will automatically appear in the appropriate timesheet in the future as a pre-loaded charge.
MyAccount / Options
The old Options page has been extended in TimeControl 6 to not include existing functionality for language, dashboards, alternate users and timesheet defaults but also the ability to customize where TimeControl will start and what pages should be the default for each of its tabs.
