HMS Software and Auspex announce Strategic Alliance partnership
Montreal, November 3, 2010 - HMS Software, a leading provider of project management and enterprise timesheet solutions, has announced a new strategic alliance partnership with Auspex; a specialist in earned value and project control systems.
"We're very excited about our new partnership with Auspex," explains Chris Vandersluis, President of HMS. "I have done business with Tim Boatwright, the CEO of Auspex for over 15 years. He is well known as a subject matter expert in the deployment of project control and earned value environments in the Defense, Aerospace and Public Sectors. Linking our timesheet expertise and our TimeControl system with Auspex's expertise is a natural fit."
Organizations which must do stringent project control and earned value reporting such as those working with the US Homeland Security, Defense or Energy Departments must consider a three-cornered approach to their systems: First a scheduling/planning environment must create the plan and the baseline. Next an earned value system must add pricing and the baseline budget. Finally, actuals must be collected once the program is underway to feed progress to the plan and earned value system and matching financial information on labor to the Finance department.
HMS Software is an expert in the delivery of project and financial actuals through its TimeControl timesheet software and Auspex has the consulting expertise to assist organizations with establishing good process for planning and earned value reporting to manage all three aspects of a complete earned value reporting system. In addition, organizations managing projects for the Defense Department or Homeland Security must also comply with the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) requirements for timesheet management. TimeControl complies with these standards.
"I'm delighted to have Auspex engaged with HMS," said Tim Boatwright, CEO of Auspex. "I've had a business relationship with HMS that stretches back to 1995. Working with HMS and their TimeControl timesheet system means being able to bring a reliable labor collection system into earned value scenarios where it is required."
